The Tooting Conservative Association and the Conservative Christian Fellowship (CCF) are running a 'Listening to Britain's Churches' event on Monday 30th June in St Mary's Church, Balham. Full details are available at:
http://www.christian-conservatives.org.uk/events/listening-britains-chu…
This programme of events plays an important part in the work the CCF does as the bridge between the Christian world and the Conservative Party, helping to form future policy.
The night itself will be very much like 'Question Time' in that the audience will be given an opportunity to ask any question of the panel. Questions will not be directed to anyone specifically and everyone on the panel will get to respond to each question as well as each other. There is always a huge variation of questions from funding for school clubs through to same-sex marriage and overseas aid.
The Tooting panel consists of:
- Colin Bloom - The Executive Director of the CCF and Chair for the evening
- Dan Watkins - Conservative Parliamentary Candidate for Tooting
- Antonia Dunn - Conservative Councillor for Bedford ward, Tooting
- The Rev'd Wilma Roest SCP - Vicar at St Mary and St John the Divine
- Tom Roberts - local businessman and Chairman of Wandsworth Community Chaplaincy Trust
All are welcome, so please click on the link below to register free-of-charge to attend the event:
