Tooting Conservatives have selected Dan Watkins as their Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for the 2015 General Election.
Dan has lived in Tooting for 12 years. In 2006 he started a business, located in the Earlsfield part of the constituency, seven years after graduating from Cambridge.
Dan remains Managing Director of the business that he's grown and now employs dozens of people. He looks to help other entrepreneurs through his work on the Wandsworth Chamber of Commerce.
Locally, Dan is a Governor of Oak Lodge School for the deaf and volunteers at CDG Wandsworth, helping the long-term unemployed back into work. As part of his commitment to community, Dan is an ambassador for BusinessHelps, which looks to aid Wandsworth businesses and their staff in setting up volunteering projects with local charities.
Tamara, Dan's wife is a social worker and both are Tooting curry lovers and keen CAMRA members.
Commenting on his selection, Dan said:

Living and working in Tooting as an entrepreneur, I care deeply about creating sustainable jobs. It's crucial we continue the revolutions in welfare and education to ensure that the state meets the aspirations of the people of Tooting - and their children. I look forward to working hard for the opportunity to represent the people of Tooting."
