The past year has been dominated by coronavirus, where Kent County Council has been playing its part alongside the NHS and other organisations to protect our residents through the rapid roll-out of the vaccination programme, while keeping vital local services such as schools and recycling centres open as much as possible.
Now Kent County Council wants to help our town build back better from the pandemic and I’m delighted to be standing as your Conservative candidate, where I will be continuing with my work to support the economic regeneration of Herne Bay.
For example, as a Herne Bay district councillor, and working with Kent County Council, I have been able to bring investment to the town, with two new renewable energy production sites opening in the near future. This will create much-needed jobs for local people, but there is still a lot to do to build on these successes, ensure we generate opportunity for all our residents, and showcase our town as a great place to do business.
